That's strange. I can well imagine it being in a different location, but I've never heard of a car without one. <scratches head> Does your car have a manual? If not, maybe you can download one from Toyota. The are on the Toyota website for our versions anyway. Don't know about other countries.

It is more likely a JDM, that is what they seem to have in Pakistan.

@Fakhar87, do you drive with your lights on during the day?

Headlights or fog lights (sidelights even) it makes no difference, the display dims as soon as you switch to the first lights on position.

So, to adjust the panel brightness you use the button (to the right of the ODO TRIP button) at the bottom right of the MFD (multi-functional display).
    ODO-Trip:Display brightness Adjust.JPG
It only does something when the lights are on. When you switch the lights on (first or second position) it will dim the CM (combination meter) and the MFD to the dimmed setting last used. Press the button with short quick presses and with each press it cycles through a Dimmed/More Dimmed/Most Dimmed cycle. Press and hold and the CM and MFD goes to full brightness. This would typically be used when having the lights on during the day.

If you have a car that can change the speedometer between km/h and mph that button will have km/h and MPH on it, as illustrated below.
    ODO-Trip:km:h-MPH.jpg

This button works almost the same except press and hold will change the speedometer display alternately between km/h and MPH on each successive press and hold. Press the button with short quick presses and with each press it cycles through a Full Bright/Dimmed/More Dimmed/Most Dimmed cycle.

    Hope that helps.

From what I can make out, it is supposed to be a speedo with a 5-pip progress bar across the bottom.
