Yeah, as much as I want to reduce use of fossil fuels, I will not likely to get the job done using all electric. Not yet, any way.
Of course, I could just drag all of those branches to back woods, and just let them rot on it's own. That might be the least impact on the environment?

Well, it could work. Just would take much longer, and you'd have another stack of firewood and kindling.

If you have the space, and no need for the wood or chippings, letting it rot is the least impact.

I am leaning toward that option. It would be the least impact to my wallet also. Have plenty of space in our back woods. Dragging all that branches, that's the hardest part.

Sounds like my Dack & Blecker 8501. Mine shredded the belt last week, was rather miserable to find another as it’s an unusual size. It’s a 4/7” width 6-rib J profile 22” belt for when yours finally dries out. Amazon.

Who measures things other than weeks in sevenths??

Knew of the horses, but dogs are much easier to transport, and several breeds came about for hauling things.

It's branded Mcculloch, and a direct drive.

By leaves, or by Kris....I think she could probably knock both of us off to China, even with her recent injuries....And, I think she only weighs about a third of what I do. Hmmm.

My thoughts are of the first winter of retirement, stuck in the house -- lucky I still go in a few hours a week to work.

West Coast. No cellars, and the deck chairs stay on the deck all winter -- and get used now and again

A year ago I could probably hoist one of you at a time and at least sling you off at a brew pub. Now, I may have to use some external aid (wheelbarrow?). But, I just did finish (last weekend) hauling 1,600 pounds of gravel up my driveway -- one 80-pound bucket at a time -- to be fair, my husband did twice that. A driveway 500-yards long in the woods. Potholes are a given.

I recently bought the Kobalt 80 volt lawn mower really like it. I also have the Kobalt 80 volt blower and the 40 volt Kobalt weed eater.
No more gas for me. Its really nice not having to mess with gas and not have to pull a cord.

Eyeing the Kobalt 80 chain 18 inch saw for hurricane prep. Already own the battery's just need the chain saw.

In a few years, you'll be so busy that you won't know how you ever had time for a job.

Mountain hiking season will be mostly closing in a few weeks. But that gets replaced by lowland hikes and higher elevation skiing.

Agreed. My father-in-law always wondered how he could be so much busier after he retired than before. Me, my job is what I'd be doing if I was retired. :)
