I tried both methods listed above and neither worked for me.

These switches are usually 4 positions, right?
Position 1: First click down to manually lower the window as needed
Position 2: Second click down to auto lower the window all the way
Position 3: First click up to manually raise the window as needed
Position 4: Second click up to auto raise the window all the way

When I try Position 3 to raise the window, nothing happens. I can only raise the window using Position 4 all the time and it never works in auto mode (I have to hold the button to the desired position)
The first click (Position 1) only works when I lower the window.
Also, when pressing the button down all the way to auto lower the window, it doesn't work either.
I'm going to try this suggestion, and if it still doesn't work, may be time for a new switch?

I am not aware that the window switch has four positions.

For 2G, only the driver's window switch has the ability to do an automatic up or down. This requires you to set the switch after the 12V power has been interrupted. You would start with the window halfway up, then hold the switch to close the window. Continue to hold the switch in the up position for a few seconds after the window has closed. Then you should find that the auto function to lower and raise the window works.

Sorry, I meant to only say the driver's switch has the different positions.
Does it matter if you try these reset options with the car running vs ACC mode?
I'm guessing my switch is bad after trying a couple different reset options, including the one you mentioned above?

It doesn’t matter using IG-ON mode vs. READY. Maybe the switch needs to be replaced if you are sufficiently bugged by not having that auto feature.

Right? I'll try cleaning it first, and see if some contacts aren't being made, etc. I've seen a few replacements on eBay for $10. I rarely use the auto feature in my CR-V, so not a huge deal, as long as the window can go up and down in general.
