I'm replacing the cooling inverter pump. In YouTube videos they say to top up the coolant. What should I buy? I looked in amazon (UK) and they cost about £5? Topping up is OK instead of draining and refilling? Thanks.
You should use Toyota Super Long Life Coolant, or similar, like Zerex Asian, Peak Asian, or generally anything that says it's made for Asian manufacturers. Usually in the US, Zerex Asian is the cheapest.
Toyota SLLC (Super Long Life Coolant). Yes it's a good idea to drain your inverter loop and refill with fresh coolant.
Guys, I had my inverter pump replaced today. I had help from my neighbour. I hadn't bought the coolant yet. He said topping up with water would be fine. Seems OK. But, I'm having serviced, so will drain and replace with coolant. I found 'Toyota Super Long Life Coolant' on ebay UK. How much do I need? I'm guessing 1 litre won't be enough. So I need 5 litres? I couldn't find 'Asian' specific. Any idea what I need in the UK? Thanks.
The inverter loop is less than a gallon, more like probably a half gallon. Buy the pink Super Long Life coolant.
Right, sorry, forgot it was just the inverter. I was listing for both just because I'm getting ready to change both myself.
