I'm in the NY/NJ area and the 3 dealers I've called are using words like "not sure if they're released yet" or "not sure we have authorized sales" which just sounds like code for "idk Wth im doin"

I want to trade up from the 2017 to the 2020 for the extra seat and entertainment features, and the sales reps don't seem to know anything about the 2020 yet.. I see some people in this forum suggest that they are being sold in the west coast.. any similar experiences with your dealerships?

can you build one on toyota.com for your zip?

at the end of the build, you can request a quote to see if anyone has any, or you can just check inventory at any dealer

I live in western NY and picked up my 2020 at the beginning of August. Looking around at the local dealers, their website are all advertising them as in stock. I'm not sure why you're having such a hard time! Car dealerships are the worst.

If you’re not buying a Sequoia or Highlander they aren’t interested.

There are lots in New England if you’re up for the drive to maybe CT, MA, RI. When I looked last week over 150 available in the 6 states.

If this is what you're hearing you need to find new dealerships to work with. Dealers making those statements in September should be a non-starter for continued discussions.

Fill out the "Build" form from toyota.com online and send to dealer, that may seed the cloud(s)

You need to be talking to more than one.

Yes send form to several dealers. I think Toyota gets it and starts shipping, seeding their market. When you find someone that is willing to work with you, tell them you want to order one.

Wish I would have had the 2019 option! They were completely gone in my area. If you're looking for a prime why would you end up deciding on a rav4? Dealers are so difficult. Im with everyone else, try some other dealers, I'm sure there are others in a reasonable drive distance.

my dealer has 5 of them in stock al be it 4 LE models and one limited. I got my 2020 xle in the middle of august. We went in and test drive it and bought it on the spot.

I am in the suburbs of NYC and they are plentiful.

yeah, make sure those 'entertainment features' are worthwhile before deciding
