Dimmer on bright even when sw is disconnected

    My 2007 dash lights are on bright all the time. I just replaced the 4 button, no camera, no navigation, MFD and it seems like it happened at the same time...not sure. I even replaced the dimmer switch with another ... no difference. I pulled the MFD out to check the wiring.. everything is tight and the MFD works as expected. I even unplugged the dimmer switch and it was still bright. any ideas?

    It seems like somehow your dimmer switch is no longer part of that circuit.... Perhaps chat with the people who repair MFD's on here and see what they say?

    Did you get an MFD with the same part number? I believe they were upgraded starting in 2006. If you have one from an older model that might cause problems.

    Yes, I got the same part number (ends in 81) thanks for the thought
