Hi all. Got my Supersonic Red yesterday and I'm I'm asking this while sipping free electricty from a free charge point near work. Is there anything similar to Hybrid Assistant or Torque ObD? I had a lot of PiDs on torque and also enjoyed adjusting the HV fan speed on Hybrid assistant on the gen 3. I'm very conscious about battery temperature because my gen 3 hv battery temperature would hit 120 farenheit in the sun with aggressive driving and the only way to keep it under 105 was to use Hybrid assistant to set the fan to max.
Both Hybrid Assistant and Torque app work on my 2017 PRIME. Though I have not played with Torque app that much.
I tried to figure out the battery fan speed thing, but didn't get far. If you figure it out, let me know please. Can battery fan speed be customized? | PriusChat
Under the Hybrid Assistant settings, there is a section for fan control. You can specify a max or min battery temperature for fan control. I suspect you won't need this on a Prime. Mine has been out in the hot sun, run on EV in hot temperatures, and the car is good at controlling the battery temperature without additional parameter adjustment. As you can see from the photo below, I have this Hybrid Assistant feature disabled.
I find that the recording and playback feature of Hybrid Assistant is very useful. Drive you car in hot weather and then use Hybrid Reporter to export the data.
The Torque PIDs to disable reverse beep for Gen3 work for Gen4, too. Id been trying to find the one that allows fob to roll down windows, but gave in and bought an eBay mini VCI / TechStream for $20.
Just got Carista OBD and Hybrid assistant still doesnt show the temperature. I did download Dr Prius though and it shows the battery @100F all day while im driving and it being almost 95F degrees outside. At night the battery is around 92 to 94F degrees while driving and or charging.
Maybe Carista is not fully compatible for HA. Hybrid assistant recommend ODBLink LX adapter and states "Full functionality of Hybrid Assistant is possible only by using the ODBLink LX adapter (OBDLink® LX Bluetooth | OBDLink® | OBD Solutions)." See this page. Hybrid Assistant: OBD I have OBDLink LX adapter, and seems to work flawlessly with HA, although from time to time it has difficulty initializing the adapter at the start.
From HA page linked above: Hybrid Assistant: OBD OBDLink LX Reading speed: fast Fully tested, the Hybrid Assistant Team strongly suggests using this adapter if you want full functionality VS. Carista Reading speed: medium (2x slower compared to OBDLink LX) This adapter is fine for HSD2 and HSD3 cars, but it can't handle HSD4 cars (i.e: Prius 4, C-HR, Corolla)
