I would like to share my experience with the Corolla Wagon 1.8 hybrid. My last car was Mazda 3 and I was getting 26 mpg. I was quite used to that and did not mind the consumption that much...but after 11 years it was time to buy a new car. After a Uber drive in a Prius...it kind of got me interested . Before buying I was researching this forum as I realized that the drivetrain was based on Prius gen4 which made more confident that the car should last. Then I finally went for a road test with Corolla Wagon and was impressed. Ended up buying it. I never expected such a difference in every aspect of the driving experience! I am now getting 50 mpg per a tank...and that is including 40% of highway driving at @ 80 mph. In the city my record was 90 mpg for a 14 miles run, but usually I get 62 mpg in the city. And the difference in the gas station bills is mind altering. I am as well loving the ecvt gearbox and the quietness the drive. Makes me a lot less stressed in traffic. Well, thanks again for participating in this forum and making me do the paradi
Thanks for the update! Some of us here are looking over with slight jealousy as we don't get the Corolla Touring Sports at all and a hybrid Touring Sports should compete well with the Golf Sportwagen. Here, the Corolla Hybrid only comes in sedan form and only on midrange LE model. The hatchback is marketed as the youthful, sporty version so no hybrid is offered. (Yet the 2.0 litre hybrid can be marketed as the sporty one)

I can't wait to get mine in October. It was ordered the first week of July and week 41 is the scheduled delivery week.
Toyota should just bring the wagon here. Add some black plastic bits, maybe a rail for a roof rack on the top and call it a "crossover" since it already has more ground clearance than the C-HR. I bet it would sell like hotcakes if they did that.
And we only get the hatch in hybrid (with poor back seat and boot) here. We want the hybrid WAGON please TOYOTA. In YELLOW please. Even a GTI HYBRID Wagon!!!
Yes, 2 cm more ground clearance, there was Europe PR in the beginning of the year and it was said that it will be available in August 2019. I didn't see any announcement on out local Toyota site.
Mine will be a normal version. It is the executive trim as they call it here which incluses keyless entry, electric tailgate, HUD, 'sport' seats with leather and alcantara, parking sensors all around with auto park, bi-led headlights, blind spot sensors and all the stuff you get from Safety Sense 2. This version is stuffed full with kit that the only option I ordered was the removable towbar. It will look like this, I had to get white because of company policy. That's great. All those things you mention, are things I miss about my Prius. The quietness, the smoothness, and of course the stellar gas mileage. Enjoy. Don't want to rain on your parade...seriously. One thing I don't like from the pictures is the "Inserted" tablet look to the center console. I want an integrated look, OR I actually want a removable tablet console. I don't want something that looks like it's removable, but then isn't. That look has always struck me as designing for the future, but it isn't here yet. I think it would be pretty cool if you could remove your center console and use it as a tablet, or for security reasons keep it elsewhere. But I think Mazda was an earlier adopter of that "look" and to me, it's form without function. I could live with it, however, keep us posted about the Corolla Hybrid. It seems to be a great product.
Could be worse - C-HR is worst looking car on the road, plus LEXUS, Camry, AUDI even BMW lately. Oh, wait - that wasn't the one I meant. I meant this monstrosity:
@The Electric Me The tablet style center displays are a fashion statement. They all want to be just like Tesla but without the functionality. Ford is doing the same as is Kia.
I remember the Mazda 3 - I test drove one before buying the PRIUS. The HUD was a tacked on flap of plastic on the dashboard: And the radio matched it - looked really tacky: But quite a few are like that now RAV4 is the same, C-HR too - this is RAV4: Maybe something we need to get used to .
