Hello, This maybe a dumb question or a memory lost on my part. I've a 2018 Prius Prime Advanced purchased a few months ago. Back in May, I was playing around with the climate control settings and I even documented some of the steps I did. I recalled when I was turning ON the heat and kept pressing the up arrow (on the left side) on the 11.6 multimedia display screen to increase the cabin temp. If I kept pressing it, eventually the word "MAX" appeared on the LCD. But now I can't seem to repeat this. I now only see the word "HI" when the cabin temp is at the maximum. I am almost positive I saw "MAX" on the screen when I did this in May. Could it be under a different sequence of actions i did that I can't remember now? If anyone out there has a 2018 Prime Advanced, could you me let know? Thanks
No, the car was purchased in late April and hasn't been back for service. Like I said, I'm almost 99.9% sure I saw MAX on the screen when the cabin temp was at its maximum. I was just curious to see anyone noticed this in their cars and to confirm my observation. I didn't think about software updates. Can the updates happen over the cloud?
I haven’t tested it in my car yet, but I usually associate MAX with A/C and HI with Heat. Could you have it reversed?
I checked the AC temp settings. It says "LO" and "HI". Well maybe I really didn't see the word "MAX" then.
The reason why I asked this question now is back in 5/23/19, I posted this reply: 2018 Prius Prime - Remote Engine Start | Page 6 | PriusChat See Steps 1 thru 8 I posted there. This was the same the day I went to the shop to talk to the tech. No reason why I could have forgotten what I saw. You may need to start from Pg1 of this thread to get the details if you're interested in reading.
