What HAVE TO do for Prime with 100K

you should be checking/cleaning/replacing cabin and air filters every 15 and 30k.

brake and other inspections every 5k, and complete brake inspection every 30k.

look in the maintenance schedule that came with the car for when fluid changes and spark plugs are due.

maybe add a tranny fluid change

 

I would just follow the MX schedule in the book.

In addition to the above cabin air filter/oil schedule... the book says to replace coolant for engine and inverter at 100k. Spark plugs at the 120k point.

I did all of that and more on my 2010 at the same time at 100k. Felt like turning it into a "Prius Day". Not sure how to replace the plugs on the Prime, but I had to take the wipers, wiper motor, and tray out to get to them on my 2010.

Underneath the car I did oil, engine coolant (super easy), inverter coolant (mine was difficult because the bottom bolt was rusted and the 10mm hex wouldnt fit in there without "persuasion"). I bought a new bolt ($5) to replace the "persuaded" bolt with. I also did the transmission fluid because why not, and I had it exposed and then for good measure did the PCV valve.

Wow...100K! You very well might be the first one around here that has made it that far. Did you run into any problems along the way? If not, that is a very good sign!

 

Welcome to PC. Yeah, you might be the first 100K milestone PRIME.
Are you the original owner? Had to be driving well over 40K/year to reach at 100K mark by now. How is your battery holding up for the charge? I know it's not so much of milage, but years, but still I am interested in if you see any degradation. I see absolutely no sign of battery degradation on my 2017 PRIME with 32K.

 

Where in the us of a are you located?

I’d be curious to know what the egr circuit looks like .

inside joke,
it's part of the maintenance protocol. goes back 10 or 15 years when people thought the floor mat was riding up under the accelerator pedal and causing it to catch the pedal at full throttle. (never happened)

ever since then, even though toyota added clips to hold the floor mats, it has been on the very 5k inspection
