I have let my 2008 Prius sit for several months while I did some body work to get ready to sell it. Now the Optima battery went bad and can't get it above 9.8 volts. Took good 12.8 volt battery out of my wife's Pruis and the 1 remote I had for the vehicle is not recognized. It seems that I have no way of getting it started.
What do you guys recommend. Do mobile Locksmiths have the technology to program a key for a Prius?
    Thanks folks.

    Depends on the mobile locksmith.

Have you replaced/changed the battery in the key fob already?

Have you tried placing the key fob in the dash slot to the right of the steering wheel?

I’m wondering if the traction battery is dead?

Would bet dollars to donuts that it is, but the OP never mentioned having lights on the dash or not being able to "Ready" the car.

Figured we could go one step at a time, but we can also assume the key is fine and the HV battery is preventing a 'ready' state.

Since they didn't include a location in their profile we can't even offer in person help or referrals :(

Maybe someone will get a good deal on a decent fixer that has fresh body work and only one key :)
