No, there isn’t. As well as changing the combination meter (CM), you will also need to replace your light cluster with a modified (to remove the TPMS LED) light cluster from a 2006-2009 donor. A good service, like @Texas Hybrid Batteries, will supply a CM pre-programmed with your current mileage and can also supply the light cluster for a good price. You have to remove and replace, though.
I hit 334,957 in my 2007 Touring Package 6 before it got wrecked in December. No pic, but I do have one when it was 333,333. Just had it towed to a scrap yard this week, I didn’t want to get rid of it but it was too far gone. RIP Green Machine. I’ll get another one soon, still on the fence if I want to upgrade to a 3rd gen or find another 2nd gen with low(er) miles. I bought her with 267k on the clock, and I wasn’t scared of that. At least the tail lights and hybrid badges are going to my friends mom’s 2005. So part of her will live on.
My 2004 Prius has 689683 km (428549 miles) on it. Original HV battery. The previous owner fod the brakes one (I bought it with 350,000 km on it) and I have done the brakes once. I usually do the oil changes with whatever I find on sale every 8000 km. I find I burn 1 litre of oil about every 2000 km on the original ICE. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I read something about that on here but mine has continued without a problem. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Posting last Facebook update with 2009 Prius. That Prius is now over 650,000 miles. She said the engine finally gave up. Blown head gasket. I’m little bummed about it but honestly! 650,000 miles is freaking unbelievable on the tiny hard working motor. Still original HV battery and drivetrain. I hope she will able to keep posting new update with her new 2016 Prius.
I'm curious what kind of mileage she was getting towards the end? I'm getting close to 350,000 miles, still on the original battery, and getting a little over 45 miles to the gallon average over the last ten thousand. My driving consists of roughly 60% interstate, 35% country roads, and 5% "in town" Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I'm not sure what previous FL is but perhaps it's different with the odometer in km (not miles). The HV battery just went on me so I had it replaced with a reconditioned one.
Sorry pre FL means pre Facelift. 2nd Gen models from 2003-2005 that have these km or mile odometer limitation.
My HV battery went at 691,000 km. I was going to rent a car to get me until the 2020 Prime comes out but found a reconditioned battery that came installed for $800 Canadian and figured that should get me by for a few months until my Prime arrives. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I have an 02 with 424k. It finally died. I removed it and repaired several broken wires and cleaned lots of corrosion. Considering replace all cells with gen2. Everything works and drives with less road noise than my 14. Hoping to busy half million but it a lot for an old car
Hi All. Just bought my 06 with 301,171 on it. Had to replace front brake pads today. We'll see what happens - mechanics gave it a fairly clean bill of health
This might be a good place to post this pic of the 300,000 mile stickers we picked up a while ago. Car is at 342,000 miles now still on the original HV battery. Needed a replacement motor at 278,000 as it broke an oil ring.
Are there any 450,000 mile stickers? Our ex Taxi Prius now has 726,700km on the clock, roughly 451,500 miles and still going strong. T1 Terry
Not Prius specific but here's a link Toyota Camry Stickers | Redbubble Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Thank you Rockrunner, I found their uk blog site and asked there. We don't do any of the social media sites, just too much hate generated on them so we avoid any more than what we get from the RV forums we are on  T1 Terry
On September 8, 2018 our trusty 2005 Prius passed 299,999 - bought it w/ ~85,000mi 12/2008. We were all excited when it turned 299,999 and started videoing odometer on our way home thinking we would capture it turning over to 300,000. We arrived home and it was still @ 299,999 so we drove around the block a few more times before we were certain we had driven over mile...googled it a found out the truth...what a disappointment! A bit unclear on current mileage. Tried to track w/ Trip Mileage but ran 12v battery dead once & disconnected a few times since 299,999mi while doing repairs which clears Trip Mileage, wasn't always writing it down so don't know exactly where we are at. We average 22,050mi/yr so we're close to 316,500mi now. - Use Mobil 1 oil - 5w-20 in winter and 10w-30 in summer. - Buy original Toyota oil filters by case of 10 online for <$3ea. - ICE burning ~2qts between 5k/mi oil changes & noticeably "ticky", sounds like sewing machine - valve noise? Runs fine otherwise. Other than normal oil, tires & wiper blades our maintenance has been minimal - I order most parts online saving $$$hundreds$$$ & do all work myself saving $$$thousands$$$ - thanks to PriusChat!!! - Changed the final drive fluid, ICE & inverter coolant, spark-plugs & water-pump belt every 100,000mi - Changed original brake pads & shoes once @ around 240,000mi - Replaced inverter coolant pump & key fob batteries twice - Replaced both HID lamps and one driver unit 7/2014 - found good deal direct from Japan online all for less than $150 - Replaced heater control valve once - P1121 code - Replaced A/F & O2 sensors out 1st time recently (03/2019) due to "P0420 - Catalyst below threshold". Was hoping to pass emissions testing & avoid new Catalytic Converter. Heard sensor function can drift or become sluggish as they age & cause P0420 as well as reduced fuel mileage - I suppose both sensors & catalyst could be impacted by my increased oil consumption but car isn't worth a new engine or new catalyst. Found a great price on original Denso sensors online @ Walmart ($160 for both)! NOTE: DON'T BUY fancy looking tool w/ swivel handle they recommend as "usually purchased with...", it's too fat & useless for either sensor. Autozone had a loaner O2 sensor socket set (oddly, not available to buy in store) VERY close to fitting (see: OEMTOOLS 27110 Oxygen Sensor Socket With A Sturdy Blow Mold Case | eBay). Needed to grind 0.010" off socket OD to fit inside O2 sensor shield - one could use a bench grinder to reduce OD by hand, I used a lathe w/ right-angle grinder attached to tool-post so it looked nicer. Autozone manager said he couldn't take tools back if modified, but said I could just forfeit deposit & keep tools, so he "sold" me a slightly used set of 2 crows feet & deep socket in a nice case for $10! Ended up using both crows-foot & deep socket at different points so it was good to have both. Unfortunately new sensors did NOT fix P0420 so I temporarily installed an O2 sensor extender (see: M18X1.5 02 Bung Extension O2 Oxygen Sensor Angled Extender Spacer 90 Degree W5P7 8139382335317 | eBay - very nice seller!) until I have time to pull catalyst & wash it out as seen on you-tube. - Just replaced ORIGINAL auxillary12 volt battery w/ date code sticker 080605W (June 8, 2005?) yesterday 06.28.19 We've ran battery dead 3-4 times since we owned car - leaving door ajar over-night, listening to radio with engine off, long vacation without turning remote sensor off. Just put on a plain automotive battery charger several hours or over-night and we were good to go. Don't understand all those complaints about OEM batteries I've seen on this forum.... When battery finally failed it was sudden. I noticed the blue-green dash display dim slightly during boot process and possibly extra beep noise but it completed boot up. Next time it failed to boot 1st try and left some red light lit (can't remember which), had trouble getting it to fully shut down (foot on brake, pressed power button twice w/ fob in dash slot or something like that) - waited awhile and tried booting again, this time successfully. Next day it was completely dead, had to jump battery to start - lots of flashing lights & horn blaring when it started - put key-fob in dash slot to let car know it was me, possibly key fob battery was getting weak, just replaced that one too. Tested auxillary battery voltage right after shut-down, it was 10 volts, looks like a cell shorted. Needed battery right away so ordering wasn't an option - couldn't justify an Optima battery locally, they were $240. Bought a Deka Intimidator 9A51P for $176.50 - seemed to have good reviews. - Fuel mileage had dropped to 39-43mpg in winter and 43-45mpg in summer. After changing out A/F & O2 sensors it seemed to improve 2-3mpg and it may have picked up another 1mpg after installing new aux. battery. I just started using it for a go-to-work car (bought my wife a 2010 Prius w/ 83,000mi. for $8,150) - my commute is mostly 35-45mph which Prius seems to like - got 50mpg on my last tank. I'm more of a sports car / motorcycle guy (Bought a brand new 1980 Rx7 and brand new 1983 V45 Honda Interceptor when they 1st came out and LOVED them, just can't afford anything so frivolous now). As a family man who has owned several Foreign & Domestic cars & mini-vans I have NEVER had a car so dependable and low cost to own and drive long-term as this Prius. Even though it looks placid and utilitarian I love Toyota's thoughtful integration of technology. It works so seamlessly and dependably that I sing it's praises to any family & friends that poo-poo it until they begrudgingly admit the Prius is an engineering marvel in disguise (even if they would rather walk than accept a ride in one). My kids learned from my experiences & are half-way there, they all ended up buying Toyota's - just not Prius'...yet!
Well, I received a reply from the UK chat line regarding the high mileage stickers, but I need a UK address for them to mail it to so they can then forward it to me. T1 Terry
