Unfortunately, I can't retire the K1500 yet due to the never ending stream of other projects, but it's nice when you can do this and still get 44 mpg on a 260 mile round trip at 80+mph highway speeds Four Gen 4 NiMH HV batteries, One Gen 2 HV battery Two Gen 3 HV batteries One Ct200H HV Battery...... and room for at least two more if needed.... I think my poor little car's suspension was just about maxed out
wow... reminds me of the time someone was giving away their garden pond for free... FIlled my gen2 up with 1000 pounds of giant river rocks... Did alot of bottoming out on the way home. My garden has looked way more beautiful ever since!
Nice, the Prius never ceases to amaze me in what it can fit. We can fit our family of 4 with 9 days worth of luggage in the little old Prius-barely but we can do it. I kind of chuckle when people say they need” a big vehicle/SUV for such a trip. I’m sure it’s more convenient yes, but not necessary if you pack and plan right.
I've carried full-height fridge freezers, replacement VW engines (not for *my* cars!) and many other things - these cars are awesome for shifting objects. I bought a nice business desk, and the guy was shocked when I arrived in a Prius, and the entire thing fitted without an issue
This is in my gen 2, the bottom ladder will extend to 16’. The passenger seat is all the way forward to accommodate it. Luckily I normally just need to have the orange 6’ ladder and if you place it in the car with the feet first, opposite the way it is in the picture, you can have the passenger seat back far enough that it is comfortable for a person that is 6’1 or taller to sit in the front passenger seat.
That's a load! Wouldn't want to get in an accident with that behind me, but I'm sure you were taking lots of precautions. A couple weeks ago, my Prime swallowed whole a 21" mower in the box and wanted more. My wife didn't think it would fit.

Holy crap, that's impressive.................my wife was a rural carrier for several years. When she was going through the first week or two of indoc, I bought a 1975 DJ-5 mail jeep for her and fixed it up. About a year later, I found a good deal on a 1995 RHD 4WD Cherokee. A few years later she was a regular and her route had a LLV assigned to it. I claimed the Cherokee and drove it non-stop until I bought my 2005 Prius. Then the Cherokee got parked and sold to one of her carrier friends. That Cherokee rocked a mail route, but your packing job rules the world.

Cool! They had an electric rider when I got my push mower. But I'd have had no place to keep it and very nearly no room to turn it around in my itty bitty yard. Edit to add: That snowplow was so brilliant, you should have made a mower attachment for your Prius.
