I guess great minds (or feeble ones) think alike. I'm picking up the paint this afternoon to touch up my spoiler in a day or two as the weather dries out. I'm going to stick with the Barcelona red, though. Did you take the spoiler off the car and do the whole thing or leave it on the car and just paint the top? A shot of clear coat over the paint?

Sure looks like my PiP, doesn't it? And yes, I do like the black accent. Makes me want to do something about the garage door wounds in my PiP's spoiler. It has actual gouges.

I took it off. It's no harder than masking it and maybe actually easier. There are four bolts to remove from under the middle section of inside black trim. (Remove the bottom one first and then the middle one that's in line with the wiper arm cross section. I read somewhere that you need to remove the wiper motor and arm, but there was no reason that I could see to take it off. Once the spoiler is unbolted and the center brake light is unplugged, use a plastic pry bar tool to pop up the two ends from their clips. Those are odd looking clips. The spoiler has square plastic holes that snap over white round buttons in the hatch. Then there's a regular clip in the center like the ones that retain the plastic panels you removed from inside the hatch. Two screws to remove the tail light and thread the pigtail through the holes and you're all set.

Well, 63deg (F) in Nashua today, so I took ChuggyPig to the car-wash (a good opportunity to try one of those car washes where the brushes dance around and over the car instead of dragging the car, kicking and screaming through the wash) - it seemed to work very well, no damage, and got rid of all the narsty salt! Then I waxed all the glass (see Chris Fix's method of cleaning the windshield (youtube). :) ChuggyPig.jpg

Placed rubber underneath the edge of the centre speaker's edge to stop it's rattling. This is a 05 with JBL sound system. I cut out the rubber part from a rear rubber trunk guard ordered from AliExpress that did not line up perfectly, so I decided to use it for something else.

    This was the rubber guard:

Looks clean. My solution (and everyone else's I've seen) has been to shove 1-2 pennies underneath and it fixes the rattling. Yours looks a lot cleaner.

    Today:
-Finished changing bulbs to LED: did license plate lights and driver/passenger door lights.
    -Quick waxing.
-Sorted out the licence plate bracket in the rear. Gen II Prii don't have rear plate brackets, but mine came with one. The plate mounting screws were stripped so I went and got another one at a local auto parts store and installed.

    Over the last week:
-Replaced passenger side headlight bulb. (waiting for driver side)
    -Replaced plugs
    -Replaced air filter.
    -Oil and filter change.
    -Trans fluid change
    -Full wash and interior detail.

Are you using LED bulbs in the headlights also, or just the standard H4 (aka 9003)? If LED, source and link?

Just overhauled the reverse camera: tried to polish heavily scratched lens with 2000 and 5000 water sandpaper, then used a polishing compound for headlights. The effect is very moderate, lens is made of glass, so special glass polishing compounds would do much better job. Adjusted focus. Now I got much better image than before :) (it was very soft and unsharp - beware: softness and unsharpness are two different things).

LED for all accessory lights interior (dome, maps, door convenience lights, etc) as well as license plate lights, back up lights, and brake lights.

For headlights my Prius uses the HID's, so I'm using the standard HID bulb ($180 at dealer, $27.00 on EBay)

do you mean 05 corolla? if it is a celica bar, what is the diameter, and let us know if it does fit.

Its a solid Celica bar- I will let everyone know.

The rear Matrix bar has already improved the perceived suspension lift quite a bit.

I am hoping I will be able to use a lift and get it swapped soon.
