It’s been in consistently during the US Open:cool:.

That van might sell well in CA, but probably no where else;).

But attempting to make light of their own foolishness seems an interetesting ploy:rolleyes:.

Maybe there's subliminal messages in the ads. "We will conquer you with our EVs".

New ones are kaput, but I've heard of the dealers selling some of the ones that have been "fixed".

That should be it for that commercial now that they have the "we're sorry" commercial out.

the darkness is on right now, during the reds game. talk about a media blitz. if anyone who actually makes and sells an ev in the usa advertised it this much, they would be doing a bang up sales job.

but vdumb? too dumb to actually make one. great advertising agency though, puts toyota to shame.

There are e-Golfs out there, somewhere.
Sounds like it started out as a compliance plus model. VW may not be against selling more, but they are better off waiting for the ID Crozz that should be out next year. Battery supply can be an issue, and they could be feel saving their federal credits for the newer models is a better plan.
VW e-Golf in very short supply as company prepares for ID Crozz electric car

Mmm...it appears the e-tron I was talking about, an A3 PHEV, is no longer available. It was a power hybrid with 16 miles of EV range. Perhaps a 2018 can be found on a dealer lot somewhere.

Audi is changing their labeling. e-tron will be used for BEVs for now on, and TFSI e for their PHEVs. Looks like PHEVs are available in Europe. Efficient and Powerful: The New Plug-In Hybrid Models Audi Q5, A6, A7 and A8 | Audi MediaCenter
A BEV is available in the US. $75k will get you 200 miles of range. Deliveries should have started last month. Audi e-tron | The first purely electric SUV from Audi | Audi USA
The i-Pace takes an efficiency hit by having a permanent magnet motor in the front. When the motor isn't being used, such as when cruising at steady speed, the magnetic forces are resistance to overcome. Some fishing reels use magnets as brakes. With an induction motor turned off, it is virtually the resistance of not having a motor.
Couldn't find any info on what Audi motors are.
