Placement of temp sensors in HV battery.

    Hi all. Greetings from Germany. I've been a furtive lurker here for some years.
    I purchased a P3 two years ago.
    The battery is in excellent condition and I want to keep it that way.
    There's a Ytube vid showing a 2010 HV battery disassembly and reassembly.
    The guy doing it recommends grouping the 3 temperature sensors in the middle of the stack in modules 11, 13 and 15.
    What do you think?
    The battery will be 10 years old in August.

    You may have answered your own question w the 1st statement.

    What if not everything is buttoned up and you end up w/a CEL after reassembling?

    HV fan kicks on to which ever air temp sensor is the hottest pass certain temp thresholds, not combination/average of the three, according to several apps I use to monitor hv temps.

    Never touch a running system? I get it.
    But we all know that the traction battery will slowly start degrading in next couple of years. Because the modules exhibit almost identical voltages, I figured it would be the right moment to reshuffle the innermost modules to the outermost positions. I take your point with regard to repositioning the temperature sensors.
