How about a stay in Hybrid mode on car start (it always getting reset to EV modes on car start) which I hate because it drains my battery down if I don't hit that HV/EV button right away.

Then there could be a slower recharge battery mode ("ECO Recharge" mode, Trade Mark Gen3PPP:sneaky:) off a certain percent of regen that is done by the car vs the factory ICE recharge mode, which forces ICE on until the battery is charged(inefficient).

What should be a feature is the car unlocking and locking when u leave and approach it, the prime i suppose thats fully possible to code some sort of way...

In the 3rd gen im looking for a way for it to open and lock the doors whenever it feels the key is in range, cause the interior lights come on whenever the key is in close proximity. Which means it knows where the key is, so manipulating it to unlock and lock when the key is in proximity would be great.

I don't think there is any hardware or software on there to enable. Adaptive high beams use arrays of LEDs and switch them to create beam patterns.

Yes. They use an array of LEDs and selectively switch individual illuminators to control the beam pattern.

An alternative is more primitive and in the current generation Sprinter vans - there is a mechanical shutter/cover that moves over part of the reflector to block part of the light from that single bulb/reflector.

That almost sounds like a smarter solution, having LED lights blast of in a beam and have a metal cutting plate go up, down and sideways to block the beam from blending one object... Only problem with that (from the sound of it) is that it cant block out multiple objects, while matrix LED`s that doesnt rely on a mechanical "blockage" of the beam can.

It's very primitive. With full adaptive lights, the lights can self-level, steer, dim areas, focus on areas, turn off completely when desired (i.e. backing up), etc.
