Folks, I've found the only thing I detest about my '19 Prius: the new location for the heated-seat switches. I find that I am inadvertently turning them on, especially on trips with a passenger. They're right in front of the cup holders: Will the console section from a 2017 prius bolt in? Maybe someone will come up with a guard that looks better than what I'll cobble together. Thanks, Dave
I'd prefer them in the pre-facelift position; I wonder if the previous console clicks in place of the facelift version.
If I used the seat heaters more often, I’d really prefer the new placement. I don’t use them much though (Austin, TX), so for me, not a huge deal either way.
You must be a contortionist to be able to operate those pre-facelift switches. I have to park my car and get on my knees to turn it on and off those switches.
I actually don't mind and kinda liked the old location because in the summer their hidden and in winter while at a red light just reach and then it on. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Poor Toyota can’t win. The location of the switches on the original fourth generation model was universally derided!
I don't like the position in my 2016. My mother turns hers on in the winter and I only notice that it's on when I'm driving and I can't reach the stupid thing. But I live with it. The one that really makes me mad is the auto bright lights. It's in a position that my knee turns it on or off. I prefer to leave it on all the time.
I'll make a guard of some sort so I'm not always turning them on by mistake. My Passat tdi had them on the dash, and never had a problem with them there.
