Guys, i have a gps locator installed in mine priusprime and i could not recall how to connect to it. its installed as standard part to the advance vertwo version. Prototype model. Could the prius toyota team inform me how to reconnect to the gps locator? Thanks TonyStark Piseries333 Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Yes its not widely sold in malaysia as they could not afford the car yet and there is little ev charging stations around. However i shipped a prototype prime to penang on my name as testing vehicle for on the road test. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Ohh ok. You're doing a trial run. I see. Prototype may not be the correct word lol (especially since the vehicle itself has been around for 2 years in other parts of the world). But what you mean, is that you have a car that is set up for Malaysia roads and you're doing a trial run.
It is still a prototype, as in the parts of the car is brand new setting to test the conditions to get better mpge and battery lifetime extensions. the suspensions are the same double wish bone. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I think you connect to your GPS location on the built in map or on the Entune app on your mobile device. Can you use the Entune app to bring up any vehicle information or settings (AC, charging, location)? Canada does not get to use these features as I'm guessing Toyota has not made arrangements with cellular companies to transmit data from Prius to Entune app and vice versa. Does Entune app work in Malaysia?
There's two types of GPS chip that he could be talking about - either the navigation or the Safety Connect system. I suspect he's talking about Safety Connect (which won't work in Malaysia so he needs to install his own GPS tracker if he needs it for fleet or trial tracking purposes)
