Request to schedule around the last weekend of May (25th & 26th), that's the weekend that I'll be competing in U.S. finals :(

Any thoughts on this item or any other remote start systems for the Prius?

I've been following this thread for a few months hoping to make a meet just to see how these things look pulled apart. So far I've been busy on the weekends they got scheduled. I'm pretty good at mechanics, but so far I've only read up on the hybrids.

Lately I've been getting a p261b code, but no overheating. It would only show up when the car was cold, and not come back after a reset. I've been watching the temp and it's been good until today. So now I'm stuck in Foster city (live in Castro Valley). I don't suppose anyone in the area has a WPT-190 on hand, and could help with getting it in?

I just got this car last year with 147k on it, and now I have 160k. So I still have a few other things I can take care of later.

I can't edit the previous post, so I'll just reply.

I got home. The overheating was intermittent, and happened 4 times. I was watching the temps with Torque, not relying on the idiot light. But once rush hour was over I thought I'd give the bridge a try, and it didn't start overheating all the way home.

So I ordered the pump and 2 Gal. of Toyota coolant off of Amazon, and will flush the system and change the pump on Friday.

It went well. Amazon dropped off the stuff a little after 11am. Took about 2 hours start to finish including a few breaks. About 1.5 Gals of coolant went back in after draining.

The impeller on the old pump was very stiff compared to the new one. So it definitely was bad.

Good to hear it went well;).

The three water pumps I have changed have shown more resistance than the replacement. Thanks for the additional data point:).

    Glad it is sorted(y).

Hello, I'm new here and I hope you will help me, you're my last hope, because I have already tried everything. It's aready quite hot in my country now. So, as I said, engine running all the time. Low 28MPG. Today I changed battery, 7 of them where dead. Tech cached the car on compiuter and there weren't any error or thomething like that. They also changed vent of battery, but there no any reasult. After the car gets hot, MPG is getting low and low and low and the engine works only on the fuel, not on battery. When I tund off the engine and the car gets cooler, it starts working on the battery, but after getting hot the car, it works only fuel again.
What ealse can be? Compiuter diagnostic shows nothing. Please, any help

Maybe the inverter coolant pump has failed. That could cause the inverter to shut down, but it should trigger a fault code.

Unless it was just the sensor that failed or failed first.

Well how does Saturday June 8th work for everyone ?

@Pedal Logic has availability and this meetup has the potential to have South Bay members, so meeting in the middle in Lafayette seems prudent;).

Also the wife and kids are out of town , so that helps :).

    Here we go:

    1) @Pedal Logic : egr circuit cleanse
    2) @Raytheeagle : social aspects and assistance
    3)?

Let’s see what we can do(y).
