Plugged into two different Sun Country public charging stations. "Charge on plug in" was selected. Power light on the charger began flashing but no charge delivered to my Prius. (No blue lights flashing in my dash.) I see in the Plug Share app that two other Prius drivers were able to charge at one of the stations. Wondering what I'm missing. Anyone?
Was it hot out and you had just parked from driving? I think I read somewhere that even with 'charge now' set sometimes the car will have to wait a bit (15 minutes?) for the batteries to cool down before charging starts.
In the Prime (I am not familiar with a PIP), if there is a scheduled charge, then when you plug in the car the charge is delayed until the next scheduled charge. You can override this and select "charge now," or as another user noted you can plug in the charge cable to the car, unplug it and plug it right back in and the car will charge immediately regardeless of scheduled events.
