My Gen 3 was rear ended last week and found a 2018 Prius 2.
Are there any problems I should be aware of?
    it omly has 23000 miles.

Ouch! Hope you're OK. Rear ending people seems to have become the new national pastime. Wait! Are you in Ravenna, Italy or Ravenna, Ohio? :D

No issues that I've heard of yet, so just check for possible recalls that haven't been done. Also, if you get the VIN, you can enter that in the Toyota owners' website to see if Toyota has been servicing it. Lack of records doesn't necessarily mean lack of care, but if there are records, that's a plus. Might want a Carfax report if you're in Ohio. Not sure if that's available in Italy.

    Yes Ravenna Ohio.
So many Priuses seem to be getting rear ended,
I missed typed its a 2016 as the title reads.
Took it for a test drive and was impressed with the handling.

Aside from some oil burning my 2011 Prius with 175,000 miles was still giving me 59 mpg
It still drives all the door work fine and I was thinking of buying it back to fix it myself but they want $2,200 to buy back this: Prius.jpeg

I'm having a body shop quoting me pulling it out enough to bolt on a new hatch and attaching new tail lights but
if it's too much, I'll go with the 2016 Prius.

I found a perfect 2012 in Artic white also but it has a lot of mileage on it also.

The 2016 is a lot more $$ but seems to be a lot more Prius.

If you were to try to fix it - before committing to it, check that the chassis hasn't bent - looking at how far the rear guard has encroached on the door opening, I'd suspect you might have a shorter wheelbase now. Plus, the hybrid battery would have had a decent jolt in the crash.

Personally, I'd be letting it go, unless you were a professional crash-repairer.

My 2016 has been a great car - some annoying things like the park brake, but I love the Radar Cruise and the way it drives. Gen 4 drives considerably better than the Gen 3 ever did.

So do I, The insurance company let me keep them as long as I put the stock ones back on. In fact they were quit insiistant that I put the stock wheels back on. More of a market for stock rims than aftermarket rims i guess.
I'm buying another Prius so I'll put these on.

    Will they fit a 2016 I wonder?

    Good point about the battery.

Just have them inspected - they're 8 yrs old now - and, if you keep the Gen 4 for another 8 yrs, they'll then be old wheels. Some aftermarket wheels are great and will last the distance and more - but there was a report here a couple of years ago about some Asian wheels (popular because they were cheap) which weren't.

Good idea to go with the Gen 4. It's WAY better. The more I drive my Prime, the more I think I don't ever want anything else.
