They were blown away by the detailing ;).

Particularly the paint (they asked “is this really almost 10 years old”):).

    Thanks for the assist(y).

Is there at all any dust filters in the cooling fan system? I have been thinking about just cutting out a dust metal filter of a PC and put there lol. But that part seems like a much better option.

So it’s been in the car 5 days. Just thought I’d give an update. Im pretty well used to using it, but given how it snaps in, I had to modify it a bit. I trimmed some cardboard into strips and folded it up to put it behind the snaps. It had a tendency to rotate in the hole a bit. It will turn if I want it to, but only with some added force. And it can be popped out if I need too.

I bought the Stage 10 push button shifter and it came with 3 small pieces of double back tape to help secure the shifter from rotating. Never had a problem after snapping it in. (y)

Waiting for my Tom’s Shifter to arrive, but in the mean time I received today in the mail a used shift surround with all the buttons, so I can mount the Tom’s shifter into it and change out the surround when I want to. My original one will be for the custom shift knob!

A fast way to cool down the HV battery.

    1. Use mosquitoes net replacement kit which comes with adhesive strip w/velcro on the other side. Cut net to size and stick net to velcro.

    2. Remove front passenger head rest & fold seat all the way back down. This will result direct air flow from air vents to the HV fan intake, line of sight w/o any air flow obstruction. Other suggestions: Override the HV fan controller and turn it to speed 6, speed 1 only kicks in at 96 degrees. Take all rear seats and back seat bench out for better MPGs. While your at it, take the tanneu cover, plastic compartment panel above spare & compartment folding cover out. Leave the spare tire.

Went and got some wrap work done at Protective Film Solutions here in Orange County. Will post the finished product soon!

In the meantime... my Prius is certainly among good company here. Not pictured is an Avendator SVJ and a Ferrari 488 Pista.

You forgot the duct work from the right outer vent to the fan inlet. Direct cold air right in the inlet.

Yes. Car parked under direct sun rays for 8 hours, HV battery heats up to 100 degree F on start-up in warm to hot seasons.

Got some engine bling with a VVTi solenoid made in Taiwan. I've got a drag race this weekend so I'll post some runs with or without it to get some data on how much it helps. So far I can definitely feel some more mid end pull.

Just got a 2012 Prius, with Nav, Solar Panels, with 70 000 miles in top shape! Super stoked on it.

    What I did do today?

Put some brand new Michelin Energy Savers tires on, along with an update of the firm ware of Entune.. (Being from Quebec, we speak french ;) - That's why the screen is in french.)

Would love to prep my Prius for both bike carrying (checking out roof rack options and inside cargo area protector) and eventually camping.

    Cheers!
