Used for about 3 weeks, bought used from member unexpected who used them for about 2 months.

Long story but I didn't like them. User sold to me with missing parts, obtained most of the parts, had to make a bushing for these and it worked. These are for a 2016 and up Prius, had them installed on my prime. Lost hundreds of dollars because it was missing parts, had to go back and forth to the shop several times and meet with the seller to get missing parts.

User unexpected offered a refund initially but took that back later down the line when I said that these were not working out. I get it.

The shop said that the back shocks were blown but I don't think they are, they rebound fine. It's either my complete ignorance or theirs. After more research, I think that these weren't made to handle the extra weight of the prime in the rears.

I had the front's on for about 2 weeks with the rear springs and stock shocks, rode great. Definitely not stock but great. The rears shocks gave me problems when I finally got them installed with the missing parts. I had these on for about half a day most driving around the block trying to tune them. They bottomed out right away on middle setting, even on hardest setting it was driveable but would bottom out over every bump. Took them out after half a day of trying different things. Stock shocks rode great with this setup though.

Took them out and now am riding on the RSR springs made for the Prime so now they're up for sale.

Sorry for the long story, just wanted full disclosure. Buyer will need to reseat preload and such. Shop had a hard time with the rears.

Will ship at buyer's expense. Will meet in the OC/LA area.

If in OC area, I can even help install if you have the tools.

Also moving so need these gone, as new place doesn't have a garage.


This is how they looked on the car, wasn't even that low yet. They go much lower.

Comes with everything needed, no missing parts, end links, bushings, allen wrenches, spanner wrenches, etc.

Well that's unfortunate, he was pretty cool until I actually requested the refund that he had offered me, and then selling to me with missing parts, and then making me drive an hour and a half away to pick up the parts that he left missing but hey It is what it is.

You live and you learn.

I was stating facts. Did you sell to me with missing parts...yes. Did I have to drive hours...yes. Did you initially offer a refund...yes.

First, pick up I chose the location because it was halfway between us so it wouldn't be too bad for either of us, second pick up I asked you to drop them off closer to me and you said you couldn't. So yes I had to drive further when it was not my fault.

Yes, you provided the missing parts in a reasonable time, but that does not negate the fact that I had to spend hundreds of dollars extra at the shop because I had to come back because they were missing parts. I also had to spend hours more of my time driving to pick up the parts, meeting you halfway. Yes, I said I would make my own bushing and I did. Still, I said "I get it"

I definitely was not trying to make you out as a bad seller, definitely not my intentions. I was just stating "full disclosure" as I know priuschatters like the details.

I do not want to start a war here but I did state facts. unexpected is not a bad seller, he actually did more than a lot of other sellers would have done. I just had a bad experience with these coilovers.

Man, that sounds fun. I've done lots of work on cars myself, mostly imports, but now that I'm getting older, I don't have the time to spend on cars and obviously, I drive a Prius. It's mostly because I drive so far. Would love to have a car to play with again. One of these days...

 

and..... $400?
