    I made it to 4,577.5 miles with just over 1/2 a tank left. It seems fitting that it ended on a 99/100 ECO score. But it was not to be this time. Life gets it's way. My Dad died so I needed a full tank to burn up the road. More important and much sadder things . . . .

    Any challengers? Post a pic and prove it.

    Wow. So sorry about your dad.

    I'm not sure if I can beat your distance per tank. But I'll see what happens when we get back from our vacation trip late next month. I'm at 1500+ miles with 3/4 tank showing.

    Thanks guys. Lots to do.

    I realize this is hard for many to do because it depends on your personal driving situation. I was fortunate for the last few months to be inside my range for most of my drives and only slightly outside the range for the ICE burn sessions.

    My condolences as well Mark, I hope you don't suffer too much from the loss.

    I won't be in contention for the most miles on a tank. Not with 430 mile trips twice a year and two 1,200 mile trips. Other than that, it would take me about 35 weeks to drive as much as you have on that tank.

    I can't even come close. I think my first tank lasted about 2,000 miles, but real life with longer road trips and winter weather hijacked my stellar numbers.

    Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my Dad last November, the day beforeThanksgiving. Just got back from a 5800 mile trip in our MH to visit Mom in FL before she passes. Take care Mark.

    Thank you all. I lost Mom in 2015.

    It's hard to get a long time window that allows a majority of EV miles even while still burning the ICE occasionally. With everything going on with Dad, I set a new record low for me over the last two days. 498 miles @ 47.9 mpg with a massive ECO score of 3/100! Yeah, 3/100. Sometimes, you just have to get there. (Yes, I was safe, just not economical.)

    I bet that hurt! 48 MPG for my Gen IIs would be good in the winter, sucky in the summer. Way low for a Prime that can been driven any reasonable amount of EV on a daily basis. I'll see just what I get on my 4 day 1,200 mile round trip to New Brunswick next week. I don't expect to have any EV charge other than when we leave the house Wed AM. Near as I can tell it makes no sense to pay to charge, costs more than the gas you save. I don't even see any charging stations in a place I would spend 2.5 hours anyway. Thus it will be "regular Gen IV" MPG, with extra battery weight.

    I think the 3/100 ECO score hit me the most but at the time, I didn't care as I needed to get there. I've been to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick several times and love the area. Agreed on the remote charging unless a hotel allows it. Have a great time.

    Most L2 charging in Canada is free. At most, you’ll pay the standard parking charge. At best, it’s at a mall so free parking and free charge.

    I just drove 300 miles today - 56.2 mpg, ECO score 8/100 (according to Entune); 78/100 according to the car.

    We used two tanks of gas to drive from CT to IL when we bought the car and then didn't by gas for ~11 months. Burned through and refilled the last half tanks in the past 11 months. Last I checked we're at about 176MPG lifetime for ~4700 miles total on the car. Not a lot of miles on this car because we use the Tesla when conditions are OK and the other Prius in freezing weather/snow b/c it still has the winter tires fitted.

    What system/provider do the Canadian charging stations use? Like do I need a ChargePoint card even if the charge would be free?
    I don't see any stations near where we will be staying in Moncton.

    We have ChargePoint, FLO/Add Energie, GE Wattstation and Sun Country.

    The only ones that require an account is ChargePoint and FLO but note that ChargePoint and FLO allow “roaming” so you just need one app (I prefer ChargePoint myself cause it shows power input in the app. FLO only emails you and doesn’t show power input) and you can start both. If you don’t have a smartphone, a charge card works too, so does a credit card.

    The rest don’t require anything to unlock the charging cable.

    Use the PlugShare website to make sure it is free of charge. I see a bunch in downtown Moncton (J1772 chargers). A safe bet is city hall if you’re touring the city or are around downtown. Actually,
    hmm, most places in Moncton charge for parking or electricity. Wow I’m spoiled here lol.

    If not, just ask the accommodation where you’re staying if they’ll let you plug into the household outlet overnight.

    This is a quick in and quick out trip to pick the kid up at Mt. Allison, no sight seeing. The only places we will be for an extended period are the 3 nights at hotels. IF they have outdoor outlets I can ask to use them. Then watch, I'll get $2/hr added to my bill but they won't mention that up front ;)

    We can pay up to 29cents / Kwh here in the Uk but then gas can be over $7 a gallon
