Amazon prime membership is maybe $85 per year. Gets you faster shipping, maybe makes you more prone to make impulse purchases.

I bring my own container (repurposed gas can) to nearby Toyota dealership, get it refilled once or twice a year. Currently bulk Toyota 0W20 is costing me $4.95 (CDN) per litre.

It seems a decent price, and I'm not leaving a trail of empties.

I guess that but could not resist. Where was Amazon mentioned in your initial post. Not exactly in the Pennzoil link.

You set yourself up by vaguely posting in the Prime forum.

I see no mention of 0W20 there.

It might be a Canadian or regional thing. Mendel is the only one I have heard that does that.

I have a hunch I'm the only one doing that. I should ask. I'd never heard of it being offered; I asked the service manager a few years back. I knew they stocked bulk oil. He said sure.

The main thing was to stop the empties, and the price is reasonable too.

I wish! They just raised it to $120.06 here. I make a lot of use of the free streaming service and free shipping, but they've just about priced me out of the market.

Toyota backrated all their recent cars to 0w16 anyway

    Super Tech Full Synthetic 0w16 5qt - Walmart.com

    $3/q

But besides -20F 5w20 is just as usable as 0w20 in any normal application

I just read an article online. You just may still be in the market IF you frequently shop at whole foods. Prime membership will help you get deals towards popular seasonal items

Personally ... first world problems (longer shipping times) don't bother me and I don't care for Whole Foods much. Farmers market beats just about everything else.

The closest store at 10 miles away from home, we use Amazon Prime a lot. In fact, our PRIME membership is shared with our families, even with an increased membership fee, five households for a single membership due is still a pretty good deal.

Never bought anything there. We do most of our food buying at Wynn Dixie and the rest at Publix. But when we lived in Ohio and had actual soil rather than beach sand, we grew most of our veggies.

Wow, did we ever get off topic again!! Anyway, nice find, @Marine Ray. (y)

I used to do that! The water bill in southern California made me stop. went up to $500 during summer - not worth it

Now if I grow my own engine oil
