    Nothing like doing it yourself though to ensure it’s done right(y).

    I might DM you for help! LOL

    Totally agree. I have a feeling they didn't.. It was a fleet vehicle at one point so I doubt it, since I heard Toyota doesn't think its a part of the service. is that true?

    “Lifetime” service for Toyota’s definition of the Gen3 is around 180k miles;).

    Without a cleanse, the egr circuit will last that long:cool:.

    But for us that spot the issue and address it, we’ll keep rollin along(y).

    Easy Off oven cleaner would have gotten it clean. It did mine in about 30 minutes.

    I wrapped my deteriorating steering wheel with one of those sew on one's on eBay. The 1st one they sent was too small to wrap around the steering wheel. So, I emailed them through eBay and to my surprise they had me measure around the steering wheel at the top Center of the steering wheel which measured 107 mm and they told me that that was larger than what they made the wrap for so they made a new wrap for me in mailed it out.

    Pain in the butt and took forever but I'm done! 0316191713.jpeg 0316191713a_HDR.jpeg 0316191713a.jpeg

    I used that to clean the carbon on my RD350 pistons. Works great!
    I have a spare cooler I haven't cleaned yet. But I will use that and spray it out with my pressure washer.
    I believe raytheeagle has mentioned that.

    EGR oil cooler successfully cleaned and reinstalled!! (y)(y)(y). Very thankful it's done and I won't have to touch it for 50k miles!

    Cleaned up the intake manifold, throttle body, and MAF sensor.

    Installed an OCC to keep things cleaned. 20190317_170218.jpg

    It feels goooood:whistle::whistle::whistle:

    Drove to Sacramento to run a 13 mile race, 61.2 mpg. Took out rear seats + bench, spare wheel cover, tonneau cover & cargo cover. 64 mpg avg since IM & EGR circuit cleaning w/OCC installed.

    Had my IM & egr thingies cleaned + OCC install w/Raytheeagle assist at last month's meetup. Had 109,000 miles at the time, it was needed because all the short drives I used to do. There were actually yellow cream trapped in the holes in the IM :eek: Now I drive 100 miles daily w/64 MPG average ever since we serviced it, best so far is 67 mpg work commute.
