Some very fine metallic specs in the background but not as noticeable as the Pearl on the white.

Note that the Prius does not have Lane Trace Assist (LTA). That is on TSS-P 2.0 and the Prius has version 1.

So far I have not been able to confirm that any TSS camera sign recognition feature exists in any product so far. The Highlander and Prius have it missing in the settings in the unified and navi displays. Only thing present is the camera on the windshield. Big miss by Toyota.
Does anyone have this feature working?

Drove a road with no navigation map speed info and absolutely no sign for speed was tagged.

Got to say I am surprised this does not even show in the settings, in the manuals, or anywhere except YouTube videos.
Reminds me of the Honda hybrid advertising engine shutdown at lights and EV operation starting out on the first model. Never happened BTW for me and only me.

Will try one more test as I saw something in the video I did not check on my test run.

At least with Magnetic Gray, the cheezy inserts actually match the car's finish. . .:p And they still look like crap.

Tail light design on the 2019 refresh look sooooo much better. The “mark of Zorro” squiggle tail lights on the first release are not only ugly but also annoying to other drivers. Another excuse to get in front of this prius fast as I can I posted comment asking how to disconnect the lower half of the Zorro bolt, but I (don’t think) I got a reply.

Seriously?!? OK, if I were the designer, I might have drawn differently, but I assure you that I will lose absolutely dead zero sleep worrying about whether my tail lights offend other drivers. If another driver is "annoyed" by my tail lights, to any degree of distraction, he or she needs to park their car at once and seek professional mental health assistance.

If you really, really want to make the "mark of Zorro" go away, and can't unplug the lower portion, the solution is simple: black duct tape. . .

I was behind a Lexus UX200 tonight and didn’t know what it was at first:sick:.

Had to look online to confirm the light pattern as the badges aren’t very visible in the dark:eek:.

    Very new;).

Too tiny for our needs though as our Gen3 seemed to be similar in length just didn’t sit as high(y).

My wife says the old lights were more visible and easy to spot by drivers.

It's like an ugly baby, once you have it awhile you get use to it.

Must have seen that in the Highlander as I remember setting that yesterday in one of the vehicles. Was wondering what its' special purpose was:ROFLMAO:.

What's new with your Prime? Is it the cats meow?

In Europe, the fourth-generation Prius has had the Road Sign Assist feature since it was first introduced in 2015. In the U.S., however, it’s not available on Prius or Prius Prime, only on vehicles with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, such as the 2019 Corolla Hatchback, 2020 Corolla, 2019 RAV4, and 2019 Mirai.

Interesting! So I am wasting my time looking for the function that does not exist.:ROFLMAO:The camera is definitely there. Wonder if a software upgrade will fix this?

I wouldn’t expect one; see my comments from June (#2745787) and October (#2797610).
I like the illuminated tailfins! In my opinion, they’re much better than the new “inter digitating horizontally-based rear combination lights,” as Toyota describes them in New Car Features (more info).

Got my first dent and scratch (two different locations)

Other than that, loving the EV driving experience. tried normal mode for the first time on Fri. What a hoot to drive! I still prefer the smoother response of Eco mode.

I would not do that to my car - duct tape over the tail lights - but let me see if a can unplug the lower half taillights - legally and without problems. I will get back to you and forum.

99% of vehicles on the road today use the same horizontal tail light and 3 brake light design. There must be good reasons for this, and all of the other cars on the road expect and understand this as they go on in the flow of traffic. A few vehicles thinking of Kia Soul and Honda CR-V buck the trend. But this prius’ taillight design so weird it’s just a distraction.

Btw, not losing sleep over this. Just offering an opinion. Toyota’s probably figured t out, they changed the tail lights on the 2019. Again, my opinion
