My forward splash shield met with road debris at highway speed. Tore the center of the shield out. And I noticed the fender liners were damaged as well so I cutoff the damaged areas and rolled with that until weather allowed a changeover.

I think the forward cover disrupted the airflow under the car and allowed it to come back up in front of the radiator, cooling the car, or holding temps down longer then they would have with the panels in place.

Don’t get me wrong, the TRD RSB serves it’s purpose & matches up nice if ur doing a white theme or a TRD theme.

For me I liked how it eliminated the end links & there are grease nipples on the bushings plus u can match it up with a Front Sway Bar (FSB)

I have the same Mishimoto can. The top mount cover is a little flimsy and I’m considering a better mounting solution.

With the orientation of the ports, I ended up using a straight fitting and a 90 elbow fitting and routed fuel line tubing behind the inverter. Originally I used that clear braided hose from Home Depot - that became brittle and was replaced by good quality fuel line hose.

I was also going to use thumb screws to speed up the removal process for emptying. I’ve instead fitted a mini ball valve to the bottom of the can and attached a hose barb fitting. I connected tubing that exits underneath the car maybe 6-8” ahead of the left front wheel (there’s already holes in the underpanel in that area that are big enough) and I leave about 1/2” of the tubing protruding underneath.

The cold weather here means emptying the can quite often which is easily done using a small drain pan under the car ahead of the wheel after my 1 hour commute home while the gunk inside is still “warm”.

Why did you switch to Hotchkis rsb after running both trd and Cusco? Shouldn't 2 rsbs be stiffer than 1?
Hotchkis attaches to the shock bolt correct?

Its the end links that I have heard are the weak point in the TRD setup. I didnt realize the Hotchkis one was a more rigid setup. Now I am more interested lol

But but did you notice any difference in handling at all going from trd to trd and cusco and then from both to hotchkis?

All I know is that my Pri with the rear TRD bar handles curves like a much sportier and more expensive exotic! :)

    This is true.

As I’ve said in the past, adding “any” RSB on the Prius in the most bang for the buck suspension mod.

TRD, Cusco, Hotchkis......they all make a great difference considering we don’t have 1 to begin with
