Ok, I'm the first to admit I'm not very artsy-fartsy, but I've tried to illustrate where the philips screwdriver should be inserted into. The Philips head will then engage the star collar
When dealing with nuts and bolts and screws, it's always looking at the visible face of the item you're turning. If you're reaching in and doing it by hand, you might need to imagine as if you could see it directly, like the parts you're tightening were off the car. If you're talking about non-mechanical things, then it might be relative. ("For the next dance step, everybody move their hands clockwise".) I had a debate once with a friend about whether to turn left or right in a hallway. Turns out he was using a Gods-eye view, looking down at the building with the roof off, not as you're walking thru the building and making subsequent turns. In that case people generally use east and west, but he was a little unusual.
I have a 2008 prius. My head lights where aimed so low that I could not tell if my fog lights were on or not. After following the directions in this thread I have easily corrected the problem with a phillips head screwdriver. Turing the screw driver clockwise raises the beam and turning it counter clockwise lowers the beam. THis is the best source for Prius info!!!
I don’t think he is going to answer as the thread is nearing 11 years old. Plus he hasn’t been on in over 6 years. He probably sold the car.
