I have a 2015 prius now after my 2006 prius finally died at 380K miles. I have always loved Prius. I want to get a plug in version eventually.

Hope to hear from you guys soon!

    Welcome David,
    Good choice!
I am a 2012 Plug in owner and a few months ago I sold our 3rd car, a 2012 regular Prius with 75K miles on the clock. You can’t go wrong with a Prius!
I love the plug in and since installing a level 2 charger in our garage I am able to charge the battery in less than 2 hours! The best thing we ever did.
The plug in has 50K miles on the clock and we plan on keeping it for a while. We are averaging 50 mpg without any hypermiling. When I do pay attention and drive conservatively, I am able to get 60-65 mpg.
You will not regret your choice to buy a plug in and if you add a level 2 charger you will love it all the more!
Good luck and again, welcome to Priuschat.

Welcome and hope your Gen 3 treats you as well as your Gen 2 did!
May I asked what finally killed your Gen 2 at 380k miles?

Isn’t it better to not use a level 2 charger when you have the time to charge at the lower rate? My understanding is the faster charge is not as good for the battery.
