My Prius was short of couple of these when I bought it. The junkyard in my area, that have hybrids, does not allow customers to find their own parts. I have to 'order' at the counter, and wait for a specialist to go look. When I searched the Toyota web for 'D' rings, I got 'O' ring listings. When I tried 'retaining', I got covers, clips, and link-nuts. What is the correct nomenclature for the cargo-net rings? Thanks.
Have you gone to a dealer and asked? The Toyota parts lists are terrible. I don’t know how those guys find anything.
Ebay has a few listings for them, but no part #. Search 04 Prius trunk hook. I tried going through Toyota's online part catalog, but could not find them. My local pull-a-part doesn't have any Prii or I would grab some for you. Good luck with your search.
Do you mean the chrome tie-down hooks (used to store a flat tire when the spare is installed), or the plastic ones for the accessory cargo net? The plastic ones don't show up in the parts lookup because they only come with the accessory kit. If you need those, I have some somewhere but I'm in the middle of moving, so good luck with that. However, they're not a Prius-specific part, so you might try going to any of the several DIY junkyards around San Antonio and looking in Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe, as well as other hatchback and SUV Toyotas.
Thanks for that suggestion. I have no idea how many salvage yards there are for hybrid cars in SA, but the two that had traditionally been my 'go to' sources absolutely do not let customers take their own tools to the Prius cars.
I'm not sure I was really clear. These are not Prius-specific parts. I'm pretty sure the ones I got came from either a Matrix or Pontiac Vibe, neither of which are hybrids. When I was visiting Austin a couple months ago, the self-service yards had several Matrix and Vibe.
If it’s the cargo net sold as a Toyota accessory, you’d want the cargo net hardware kit, part number PT347-47040-HK, list price $5.03. Here’s an eBay listing with a photo.
