Hi all, Posted for the first time ever in the Gen 2 maintenance and troubleshooting forum asking for help with an issue. Used the Android Prius Chat app. But the post has just been sitting un-posted. It says "Awaiting moderation before being displayed publicly." It's been several hours. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong?
Looks like it's posted. Yah! Is there a good thread to learn all the ins and outs of the forums? Policies and good-to-know stuff? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Welcome to PriusChat. Perhaps a moderator was asleep at the switch. I believe all first posts are moderated as part of the spam reduction system here. Don’t take it personally.
Seems like my posts are still getting held up: "This message is awaiting moderator approval, and is invisible to normal visitors." Maybe I picked the wrong username ;}
@Tideland Prius is there any way you can help debug this? I just tagged a moderator so he can hopefully assist.
You're welcome. I just checked & saw it but I do not keep a close eye here at times. We are generally very friendly here but I suspect that perhaps your username triggered some of the SPAM mitigation efforts here. Sorry for the hostile welcome here.
Sorry to hear. I had sent a PM to one of the moderators. They were pretty good about getting back to me and straightening things out. @Tideland Prius
@Tideland Prius - looks like I am having the same problem - I posted a question last night and it's still saying "Thread Status:Awaiting moderation before being displayed publicly." - the thread is located: Help Identifying "leftover" part from headgasket repair | PriusChat - not sure if this will even show up??
I understand my first post, and first thread but i'm still getting flagged. I do happen to have another forum open at the same time. Not sure if that is causing issues as well.
Already did. You get flagged until you have 5 approved posts. So even if you have 4 approved ones and you post 8 after, because your 5th is awaiting approval, all your other ones will be in the queue as well. Sorry, I was busy picking up my Prime yesterday.
