    Elon needs to scamper if he is going to make an EV pickup.

    Geez the front end looks like something from a 90's near-future science fiction movie.

    [edit ~ seems I should have read to the last post, as someone beat me to it. Great minds think alike]
    actually ~ the 90,'s movie version that you & maybe others could be thinking of - was a remake from around the late 50's - early 60's iirc. When we saw this - as a youngster in the 60's, it scared the Bandini out of me;

    Here we are, ½century later, and we still keep waiting for the aliens to take us out so we don't destroy ourselves

    Urban-ugly looks notwithstanding this looks like a very capable off-roader.
    Hire a sober person to rework the front end and build enough of them to bring the price out of the stratosphere and this might actually work.

    The specs for this truck (besides being in metric) are stunning, and Rivian seems to have taken the very anti-Tesla approach of pretty much flying under radar until they get some of the bugs worked out.

    They're going to have to sell $80-100,000 units first, which is understandable...but everything aft of the front hubs appears to be ready for prime time.

    One that made me exit my friend's house, was the original The Thing. The ice was starting to drip off the block of horror, and I was outa there.

    Huh, in our library.

    Yeah, I think if that truck was coming up fast in my rearview I would be stressed...

    It will be fun to see the diesel 'truck culture' folks freak out once the electric pickups arrive.

    There’s plenty of those where I work along with the elevated gassers too:cool:.

    If Rivian makes it and has good supply when our 2010 is to be replaced (this is hopefully not anytime soon), I’d buy it and get the reaction from that crowd:).

    But I need another 5.5 years to complete the @bisco challenge before I get to provide that feedback (y).

    It was funny in our morning meeting yesterday one of the Dodge guys parked on “Silverado Row” and they were joking about a new dent they saw on his door:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

    I’d definitely need to steer clear of that area;).

    But us hybrid and PHEV folks survive somehow(y).

    . . . . . have to figure out charging infrastructure & where they do repairs? Oh yea ... and where they're going to build them? .... and where to get batteries?
