Our rules are simple in this household. The journey must be more than 5 miles, being that I got the 99.9MPG when trundling less than 1/2 mile from a gas station to a store car park. We don't normally drive long distances, so further than town trips formed that basic rule. The info is 2-3% out on the car screen at best, but it's a fun battle. She got back from picking up a thing on the local bargains website, with a report that she was the champion. Me - "What of?" Wife - "Well, what was the MPG record?" Me - "Oh, 69.8 I think" Wife - "It's been beaten, 75.2 MPG" A nearly full tank of gas, Ecopia EP60's at 38psi. She'd warmed the car up on the 6 mile outward journey. Collected the item and got the amazing result on the journey back. My plan, is to find a thing on the local bargains site from the same person and push the car home
6 miles at 75.2 MPG, that sounds somewhat flat. Do you have any substantial hills that you could climb, before resetting for a pre-warmed downhill glide home? I have actual mountains available:
Am with 'grid' on this one, because my instant thought was to take a pic of 'fuzzy1's results and claim it as the last town run It's flat around here, or regular hill up for hill down.
Make sure run occurs at the wee hours of the morning for believability . Otherwise a backlash could occur.
LOL so i've just got to make sure the thing on the local bargains site can be picked up at 3am. "Where you going at this time of night honey?" "Barbara says I can collect now" "I'm sure she did"
Mine was actually in the afternoon, the AM/PM indicator was wrong. And my average speed was reasonable for the road.
"She did, I tried it out but it only lasted five minutes, so I left it behind and came home with just the blender" We've got a fantasy book going here RMB. The first Prius Chat thread to get an Adult rating at Smashwords 'Stealth Mode - Midnight Pickups'
