No check engine lights are on. I have plugged in "Know your Drive" provided by the insurance in the OBD II port, and the diagnostics showed the above coded. P1116 says Coolant temperature Sensor out of self test range. Is it necessary to replace it now.

P2601 says" Coolant Pump A control circuit Performance stuck off". Does that means coolant pump is not working. But the temperature light doesn't come on. Is there any check up needed at this time. I think I might want to wait until the emission Test and if any codes shows up that time I have to fix it.

I have the car 2006 Prius 7 months, I painted it at a paint shop, I like the car. Only 136K would like to keep it for few years. Invited informed opinions.

They could be old codes that were stored. Generally if a code is current the check engine light would be on. Any way you could get access to better software, like Techstream? I would tend to believe that over some insurance companies scanner.

I didn't try every URL, but Malwarebytes flagged every one that I did try as "Trojan". And if I said to go anyway, the message is "
This site can’t provide a secure connection
    share.qclt.com sent an invalid response."

The URL has a wacky name to boot, not a good sign. Subsequent efforts showed URL to be https://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8CPDF%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/Prius%20Service%20Manuals%202004/%E4%BF%AE%E7%90%86%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8C/04pruisr/05/2054m/cip1121a.pdf which contains a lot of oriental characters.

This issue was brought up not that long ago by @Tideland Prius, and though words were said, it appears to be resolved for the moment.

Not sure what the actual issue is, but if you're still concerned, you might try using a "sandbox" to run/open the PDF inside of.

Many have used the workups and links over the years , and no one that I'm aware of has ever had an issue as of yet.

Pay loading a PDF (and a litany other file types) is fairly easy, and you're correct in showing/being concerned.

Well, fact is Malwarebytes (MWB) is juuuuuuuust a tad conservative. They even quarantined a URL that looked like their own. But they really bailed out my butt's Registry once when beforehand, I was dead in the water, and after, all was peachy.

I didn't realize/see that this had been discussed ("words were said" goes without saying, but since you said those words, I guess they were "special" words in "special" context--I'd kind of like to read the exchanges) and put to rest.

I guess I'd rather have MWB be conservative and give me the choice to go on anyway, but when that also is flagged with no option to go on anyway anyway... Whaddayagonnadoo?

I hate to admit that, well, I lead a sheltered life (these days, well, I'd say, "Who doesn't," but ...) to the point that, apart from web pages, I have no one to bounce ideas off or learn about stuff.... Consequently, I'd never heard of a "Sandbox" before, and after Googling, I can't see how one applies to a sketchy URL (so I sure don't quite grasp the concept).

But, hey. I'll back off. Sorry to rattle chains, shake trees, etc. and hope only friendly words are said.

Thanks for straightening this out. I guess I could delete my previous post and this one. But I think that's frowned upon unless truly egregious, isn't it?

It didn't come off as negative. I like to play with words so MY post seemed the culprit as I attempted to humor-strangle "words were exchanged" into submission but the phrase escaped the hold and pinned me for a count of 3. BTW, the exchange was a letdown! I was lookin' fer literary puglisitics.

But seriously, I will follow the link to Sandboxie ... tomorrow. I don't know NEARLY all there is to know! Problem is, I don't want to LEARN, I just want to KNOW!
