Do you need the "shelf" that hides the rear storage area?

It's FREE to the person who will pay the shipping. Looks to be approx. 16" by 30". Shouldn't cost too much to ship from 49635.

Hit me up and I'll get a shipping quote. PayPal accepted.

I'm away from home until Tuesday, November 27th. I will get more precise measurements and a shipping estimate to you after then.

Note: You will need new plastic panels on the sides of the car. Yours does not come with the notch to hold said shelf.

I know that I'll have to make some adaptations, but that's okay. I have a plan. ;)

As a public speaker and author, I frequently travel with electronics (projector and laptop) and I desperately need a hiding place in this wonderful little car.

Just a fun little update. I did a couple minor modifications and installed the shelf on my Prius C-1 successfully. It came out beautiful! Looks as good as factory! :)

Total cost of pieces and parts for install: Under $15.

If anyone wants more info, send me a PM.

I didn't want to post pictures until I felt the love! ❤️❤️

How many people have Prius C Ones?

I assumed that they were the least popular model.

It's typical that about 80% of the lowest trim models for most automakers go to rental and fleet businesses (this applies mostly to core brands such as Toyota, Honda, Chevy, Ford, etc and excludes the luxury brands of each automaker).

    Okay, here are some photos!

Bear in mind, I did this on the cheap but I'm actually very pleased with the end result. I'm a single woman that travels quite a bit and needed some place to hide my laptop and powerpoint projector and all that stuff.

I popped out the two body clips that were near where the shelf should rest, and I put in a couple cargo net holders (see below). Next, I drilled two small holes on the left and right side of the shelf and looped the black cord over the newly installed cargo-net tabs. The black cord is tied off (with a small knot) under the shelf.

To provide support to the forward part of my shelf, I sewed two very small plastic hooks (3M) to the seat back. I only sewed the top portion, so that they can be flipped out of the way if I need to load mulch or something heavy and large. I used dental floss (which is super strong) and an upholstery needle (which is curved). It took less than five minutes.

That little hook actually works beautifully. I know that this is an unconventional solution, but it's both simple and practical. AND CHEAP! :D

The end result is excellent, and my shelf accomplishes its purpose. It does not rise and fall with the hatch, but this actually suits me better.

Tested it to 20 pounds and it was very sturdy. I don't think I'll need to support more weight than that. Total cost for the modifications was under $20.

The idea of the mini "hangers" behind the rear seats is amazing! Good job, looks great and almost factory).

Thanks. I'm pretty pleased and it works well. Of course, I put the level on it to make sure I had it perfect, front to back and side to side. The benefits of being OCD! ;)

    Gotta say, I like it.

Not only is it turbo charged, it’s got a V8 badge on the hatch. Now doesn’t that make you want to slap your forehead and say, “I could have had a V8!!”

    :)
