Well, I just checked and it said that my rebate was still pending and to allow for 6-8 weeks for processing... But I sent the rebate info in on Oct 30th, which was 7 weeks ago? When they give you the choice between email or snail mail refund you should choose snail mail, cause the email way is super slow or even broken entirely. Either that or their email got filtered out as Spam and I didn't notice it when I last cleaned out that folder?
The reason they have great prices is because Amazon's server network is so huge that they now control 40% of global consumer commerce and they're mass surveillance ability allows them to act like their own government and they apply serious financial penalties to sellers who don't support their rapidly growing monopoly. It's why Ebay is suing them for stealing all their top sellers... If there ever was a company that was going to be forced in to being broken up, it's this one. I looked just now, and did not notice particularly good prices on Mobil 1. However I did find Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 for $21.44; or for $18.22 if you subscribe with a minimum delivery of once every 6 months... I suppose the subscription service is a concept intended to further the monopoly (per PriusCamper's post immediately above.)
Well, with five vehicles to maintain I actually could benefit from the subscription service... I need 0W-20, 5W-20, and 5W-30 viscosities, so I have 5 quart containers of oil in various locations in the garage...
You could but then you would be supporting Bezos. Guy is a creep, uses every advantage to enhance his position.
Yeah yeah..that can be said for quite a few CEOs. I somewhat agree though. Love all you righteous foks on here! However, we have been all in with Amazon since day 1 and it is a terrible habit to break. Plus, I hate going shopping so there is that. We have tried many alternatives....and I'm happy to say that Walmart really is getting there. I'm glad Walmart is investing to compete with Amazon. If there is anyone that can do it...it's them. At any rate it does look like Mobil 1 is no longer on Subscribe & save. It *used* to be there. From the posts above it looks like there are some other good alternatives. In fact, I am running Castrol Magnatec in our 2010 right now with no ill effect.
