I assumed it was a huge garage - with a semi-detached bedroom and kitchenette.

 

Off topic, but would it make sense to have the beach sand shower be part of the heated portion of the garage (perhaps by putting a wall in front of it), so you wouldn't have to winterize it?

 

i forgot to winterize my outdoor shower one year, and my neighbor had to call the water company after 40 million gallons of fresh water polluted the ocean.

that was a big bill.

 

but you're there year round, won't be an issue. i packed up and left, had a senior moment with the shower, which was literally outside, not in a garage. and unheated in delaware is different than cape cod.

 

Might need to change your profile post as the garage is elusive these days.
