idk, seems to me bolt has plenty of range. could use an increase in size though.

I've driven EV to Nashville, 3x the cost of gas, so I don't see it as backwards.

Have you paid for electricity away from home? The reason I ask is the short range, 25 mi EV, Prius Prime doesn't make sense to charge ... it takes too long and costs too much.

But out here solar can add a leveling dimension to electricity costs.

Worse, GM is not providing 24x7, fast DC charging at their dealers. I've used VW's Electrify America and EVgo ... both are 3x the cost of gas.

They aren't ending the production of cars. Just selling them in the US.
Sales of the Fusion, including hybrid and PHEV, will likely go on as long as what sells now keep selling. The Focus crossover that is coming is just the hatchback with roof rails. The other four versions of it will still be sold in other markets.

The factory closing only made the Cruze sedan. The Cruze hatchback's is staying open, and could easily make the sedan. GM isn't cancelling the Buick Volt that is sold in China.

It is disheartening seeing these moves by Ford and GM, but Americans simply don't care about fuel economy when gas is cheap, nor when they have to pay extra for it.

CAFE is a bigger concern, which is why they aren't getting rid of all the cars, working to improve truck efficiency, and expanding into plug ins.
