Sounds RECIRCULATE is being used. That is a request to not pull in fresh dry air from outside.

Switch that button off. You'll see a big improvement.

 

You set it, then leave it that way throughout the winter.

Mine, here in Minnesota, is always off. That helps prevent moisture.

 

How cold is your low temperatures? If it's below -10C, climate prep is not useful. Heat pump is not effective at that low temp, and climate prep will not turn on ICE.

 

Is there some store of unwanted moisture inside the car, such as wet carpet, floormats, seats, boots, coats, towels, or something else wet in the cargo area? If so, get it all out. Remove floor mats to dry out inside the house. Completely dry out the carpets.

Then once dried, use the prior advice and keep the car off Recirculate mode while driving.

 

If you have the advanced, make sure to turn on the "defrost" on the app. I have the same issue on damp cool mornings. If I notice the windows fogging up while I finish breakfast, I wait for the climate prep to finish and start a new cycle with the defrost on on the app.

 

Heat.

AC evaporators can retain some moisture, but AC also encourages some poor moisture-retaining habits with recirculation. But the later is operator practice, not a required part of AC.

Newer cars are also have better air and weather seals, preventing trapped interior moisture from escaping naturally at the same rate as older leakier car designs.
