My dad told me about WC Fields -- I saw one of his movies -- It's a gift??

I feel pretty much worn out most of the time -- so does that equal zero?

Hmm, I think I had a point when I started this post, but I guess I forgot it.

Sure... I'd be happy to... I'm an hour south of Seattle... Could run some baseline tests on your hyrbid battery health too... Maybe some EGR system cleaning as well?

Oh, yeah, it was something about helping fix the Prius....I am good at oil changes. My dogs tend to lick faces when you are on the ground, though.

Also, I am out in the middle of nowhere in the Oregon Coast Range. Many folks are a bit scared of the roads they have to take to get to my dog farm (actually, it is a Douglas fir tree farm).

I never believed it. When I was a young kid stuck in Catholic school, and older people told me how time flies.

But darned if it ain't true! I don't even recognize that old ugly dude staring back at me in the mirror!! And even in retirement, time hasn't slowed down. I talk with other folks my age, and they all agree. It's weird. BUT, I'm very thankful and count my blessings that I made it this far.

I was just kidding, guys AND gals. :D But thanks very much. It sounds like you both live in very nice beautiful areas. I am very tired of the BIG city life. One of my sisters was very smart... she got out of here 30 years ago. Moved up to the Big Sky Country, of Montana. She & husband are fairly secluded, like Kris describes. Very peaceful. But a big bear ate all their chickens! Broke into the chicken coop they just built. :(

If I had any sense, I'd move away from here, too. Not too late, I guess. Just kinda set in my ways.

There's no shortage of Prius owners that are "just kidding" about having you work on their car... Dang cars run so well it's almost impossible to convince people to invest in preventative maintenance.

Many years ago, I *was* very good at doing all the maintenance by myself. Now days, I still maintain my car very well. Follow the schedule closely. But visit the dealer for the work.

There's also that place near me called the Hybrid Pit. Those guys are supposed to be excellent.

    Getting back on topic:

Costco reminds me of western Canada CNN diner car service, in the 60's. Many years ago, I was heading back east for basic training, and the government would only spring for a train ticket. This was when train travel was just one step up from bus travel, I think the fare to Halifax was $90. Anyway:

Boarded an evening departing train, and the next morning, experienced the dining car: brightly lit, lots of steel, rudimentary counter and seats, and the waiter (reminiscent of Seinfeld's soup Nazi) issued you with a card, stubby pencil, and instructions: tick so many items only, only one can be, and above all.... It went on and on.

This went on, all the way across the prairies. Somewhere in Ontario we switched trains, and the next time into the dining car, wait what: tables, with clothes, pleasant decor, have a seat, a waiter will take your order directly. What a difference a train makes...

I'm not a member of Costco; I don't buy enough to make it worth going in there. But they did let me in free to the Pharmacy, so I could get caught up on all my vaccinations. Just like the military, shots in both arms. :)

How FAR off-topic am I now?! Maybe I will buy my Defenders there. ;)

Mendel, sometimes I see you logged on at 2 or 3 am, my California time. What time is that in Canada?
I'm up most of the night. I worked night shifts most of my life, my system is all messed up. WAY OFF TOPIC, NOW. :ROFLMAO:

It's nice to chat with you good people, and everyone else on Priuschat. I've learned a lot. :)
    Good night.

And now you got me wanting to take a train ride.

Same time on the west coast. I was probably in Dutch with the missus.

IIRC in the States you can buy Costco tires without being a member? Maybe someone will chime in.

I think not up here though, cus while they used to (for example) take $70 off at the till (before tax calc) during promotions, buying a set of 4 tires, now they issue $70 shopping cards.

Need to be a member to buy tires;).

They ask to see your membership card before they do anything:cool:.

But worth the membership if you can justify it(y).
