My dealer wants to charge $59 to change the constant beeping when I’m alert to a single beep and to change my remote door lock from one door to three door. Is this a common charge among dealers?

I purchased the Carista ODBII ADAPTER from Amazon for $20 which includes 1 month of unlimited use of the Carista smartphone app.
I changed the backup beep and turned off all warning beeps when in neutral so the car doesn’t freak out in the car wash.
    Took about 5 minutes.
There are those who will jump in and offer cheaper solutions I am sure but for $20 I’m not quibbling. In the future I can subscribe 1 week for $10 or a year for $40 or find a free app.

One more thing you can change the door behavior yourself two different ways.

Maybe the popularity of this board caused it to sell out? :)
I even checked my previous order on Amazon and when I clicked on
"Reorder this item" it says "out of stock don't know when/if it will be in stock again".
    Strange.
FWIW I did everything I wanted on the free trial.
I was befuddled on how to get the 7 day pass in the future but Carista
support cleared that up. I'm an iPhone user and you don't purchase the
pass in Subscriptions but rater in the app itself fwiw.

For android users who already have OBDII dongle, there is a free app called "Prius Tweak", which is now pulled off from Google App store but APK is still available for sideloading. Prius Tweak 1.1 Free Download With it, you can change reverse beep to single beep very easily. I used OBDLink® LX Bluetooth, but cheaper generic OBEII dongle may also work. I played with it and changed the constant reverse peep to a single beep, but I ACTUALLY LIKED CONSTANT BEEP better. I changed back to constant beep after a week of trial.

Dealers vary widely with how they handle this charge. How long have you had your Prime? I told my dealer to change it because my spouse wouldn't drive it because of the awful beeping in reverse. It then became free. I was at some 1,000 mile check up at the time I told them that. This was for my last Prius 8 years ago. Because they did it back then (and I had the service receipt), they made it free again with the Prime at the time of prep. I had asked them to do that before I picked up the car.
