Carpet replacement in space under gear shift

That's not a bad idea, just use the old one as a template. A similar "consumable": the little rubber bits at the bottom of the door armrest recesses. The are too dang easy to suck up with a vacuum, and you maybe don't notice for long enough that they're long gone. I just cut replacement for one of those with some rubber from a hardware store, some sort of runner material.

Hire a tailor and get fitted for a new suit and then ask the tailor to sew up a swatch of fabric in that exact size and then your suit will match your center console storage space. It'll be awesome... Maybe $8K to get it looking good?

 

There's a little velcro gripper strip on the back of that centre console piece.
