I got my baby back today, though it isn't quite finished. Last minute repairs delayed an alignment so I will be taking her to get that done tomorrow. The repairs, however, are phenomenal! Everything is back to showroom condition and the paint matching to my Magnetic Grey is par excellence'! Now to get rid of that body shop smell!!!!!! Drive too long with the windows closed and you'll get dizzy!
Wow... I must of missed a few threads. Because I remember your original thread shortly after the accident, when it appeared "Gloria" was going to be totaled. Quite frankly given description of the damage, I'm surprised Gloria was resurrected. BUT...you were upset about losing the vehicle.- So I'm glad if it worked out. May Gloria and yourself enjoy many more years and miles.
In a nutshell, caught Trexis in a series of lies, they totaled the car but told the body guy to fix it. I took the total from Trexis but kept the car and told the body guy to just do the job, he had already ordered parts so it made sense. Body guy said it would cost $3400 to fix, Trexis offered me $4200 to total if I kept it. It was a win win for me. I do need a claybar to get rid of overspray, and the drivers door is a tiny bit wonky, but it seals and my car is better than ever!
