    It's contingent on getting the Entune 3.0 upgrade (Entune 2.x is not compatible as far as I know).

    The C-HR is the only non 1st-year model to receive the upgrade in the list above (i.e. the Avalon, Corolla Hatchback and RAV4 are all new for 2019 but the CH-R is in its second year). This bolds well for other 2019 models to receive the upgrade to Apple CarPlay.

    What about us android users wanting Android Auto? 0.01%?

    Just about anything is better than entune. Even nothing is better. I never use it. Ever.

    I wonder if Google Assistant is available with CarPlay Entune units? (Right now, it's just Siri Eyes Free but I thought some Toyota/Lexus vehicles expanded that to Google Assistant). Yes it's not AndroidAuto but at least you can ask GA to navigate your phone's features.

    Apple Car Play was one of the main reasons I was going to wait for a '19.... I suppose we won't know for sure until it is officially unveiled?
