I'm struggling to find OEM replacement for the front suspension arms. Any suggestions, apart from stealer prices, where to get these from in the UK? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.

Has anyone ever wore out a ball joint, I have never heard of that being a problem on Prius Chat? My experience with Prius front suspension is from my Gen 2 and I found them to be very basic and easy to work on.
I'm really looking for the whole control arm from a UK supplier. I've spent most of this morning phoning around and getting crazy prices. Dealer is wanting £225 each and another can do it for £338 for both. This is nuts. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
If only I was in the US. That's a great price compared to what I've been finding in the UK. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I see that and with import duty on top, it's worth exploring just buying the bushes. These look to be easier to get and I've got a press. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
check these guys out. I have the Moog arms, they're very nice! Buy Suspension Arm for TOYOTA Prius I Saloon (XW10) 1.5 Hybrid (NHW1_), 116 HP (year from 2000) cheap online - Suspension Arm And try the local independent autoparts stores or autoparts chains. There are other vendors for aftermarket autoparts in the UK. I'd encourage you to google search for them. EU, too. Shipping and duties will eat you alive if you try to bring stuff in from the US.
I don't know the mileage of his car, but he's putting a low mile replacement engine in, and I think he wants to renew the suspension and steering too. Can't blame him, even Prius parts do wear out. I would look into replacing the cv boots, do a thorough cleaning and a grease repack, too. Messy but cheap.
Thanks Brian. I've been Google searching too and keep coming across this type of site but always out of stock. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
It's got 185k and now had a replacement 70k engine. The history paperwork shows a new driveshaft and a transaxle casing at some point so it's had a dunt side on. Chassis is straight and so is the subframe so it's been fixed good. All the fluids have been changed too. The ball joints are great. The only reason for changing the arm was that I saw that the rear bush was starting to split very slightly. But and this is where it gets annoying..... the bolts holding the arm were seized against the inner bush of the rubber bushes on all four. So the rubbers tore. Hence where I'm at at the moment. Yeah out of stock, shame on them. You might call and ask them when they will get more, those parts aren't discontinued in the US. You might also try EU sources. Maybe in the Netherlands? Or Germany. They look like they fit on lots of cars at least. Sure isn't as easy as over here, tho. Or just get the bushings and press the old ones out and the new ones in.
Apparently Rockauto.com ships to the UK and doesn't try to rape you on the price. Here's the pertinent info. RockAuto.com Review by Garry in London, Uk, AE Rockauto is one of my favorite parts sources, and I've never had anything that went to back order!
Thanks Brian. I've managed to grind and cut the old arms out. And AutoJapSpares.com can get me the correct size. I've also burnt and pushed the old bushes out in preparation. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Update. New bushes finally arrived yesterday. Fitted like a glove tonight with new bolts all round. Nice to know I've got good bushes and nicely painted wishbones. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
