Had the car a week now and loving it, but every so often when driving it gives out a loud beep, but no messages on screens, sometimes it gives a lower level beep, again no message. Any ideas. Thought it might be lane departure, but not close to the lines. Thanks in anticipation.

It's to remind you that it's related to an early Saturn Rocket.

Seriously - not sure. I assume you're going forward? Do you have Blind Spot indicator - I don't so I'm not sure if it beeps? The Lane Departure will beep if you change lanes without indicating - or if you use the "3 blink" indicator and it finishes before you cross the lane.

The lane departure alert will give some false positives when you are not close to the stripes. The blind spot monitor is silent.

Hmmm - maybe I need one - I have mainly driven alone for 18 years now. Not that she ever nagged, actually - just good advice.

If it is loud, it more likely is the "crash avoidance" alert.....which probably should be accompanied by some red lights flashing.

If you are in the habit of rolling up to objects ahead of you with your foot off the brake.......stop doing that.

It is easy enough to test the lane keeping feature. Just turn it OFF for a while.

On mine (2016 excel, called Premium here) it beeps for traffic cameras automatically, switch to your map view so you can see the camera icon pop up in the lower right part of the sceen so you can see if that's what it is.
It's pretty loud sometimes, I'm guessing it is the same volume setting as with RDS warnings.

It'll also beep if you've set speed limiting cruise control and you exceed the speed (e.g. going down hill).

If you have Speed Cameras turned on in the Sat Nav it'll beep whenever one is coming up.

Yep, I'd guess fixed speed cameras too. IIRC there are two different beeps, one to tell you there's a camera coming up and a different one if you're over the limit on approach.

Thanks peeps, I’ve figured the loud one is the speed camera, just foxed me as there wasn’t one on the road I was travelling, but was on the road under the bridge. The other may be the lane departure, but it seems to go off when no lines...
