I'm not able to find the answer, at 113k miles I'm seeing the max is 15.6575 and the minimum 15.5781v across the hybrid battery. Does this mean it's doing it's job? I'm not able to find out if this is good or bad.

    Are you having any issues?

    Codes being displayed?

How are you reading the voltage?

How many miles on your Prius?

What is the state of charge showing for that voltage?

Your battery pack is made up of 28 module that stay around ~7.5 volts of charge. These modules are made up of 6 battery cells, which are not that much different than a rechargeable D cell battery you buy at the store for home electronics.

To simplify battery voltage data Toyota combines two modules (a book) as if they are one, so you have 14 total voltage readings. Because all these modules have to operate at almost the exact same voltage, the data you're looking at is showing you that out of the 14 books the voltage reading with the highest and lowest are about one volt apart, which might be enough to throw an error code.

Next step is to pull the battery and load test the voltage of the modules in the book with lowest voltage reading. While you're at it doing a load test on all 28 modules would be wise. To do a load test you hook a Prius headlight bulb up to a module for 2 minutes and measure how much the voltage drops. Not sure if it's different for a gen3, but for a Gen2 all 28 modules need to be withing 0.3 volts of each other or an error code will be thrown.

No issues outside of the inverter being rebuilt under the extended warranty coverage. It's my wife's car and those are the voltage numbers being pulled from a leisurely drive with an ODB2 scanner and the Torque app with applicable Prius numbers. Just wondering if the battery numbers are ok for a car of this age.

    Your fine;).

If concerned and the diy type, you could invest in the Prolong setup and begin maintaining your hv battery :).

If not, you are near @Texas Hybrid Batteries , a good source for battery work;).

Good luck and keep us posted (y).
