Sure, as long as you remove destination charge from comparison with every other manufacturer as well. Otherwise we're doing apples/oranges. If we want to do apples to apples comparison, the price of the car is $36,200.

Yes sales tax is on every car. Point was that the $7500 tax credit must be included for the tax calculation.

    Tax credit phaseout.

    fair points.

I am thinking (hoping) that Elon is sandbagging the 220 mile range specs on the model 3 Standard Range to prevent cannibalizing model 3 Long Range initial sales. The Bolt has around 238 mile range. I believe (hope) Elon will beat that range! I hope the model 3 SR will have a range of around 250 miles to force Bolt and new Leaf to be more competitive. I also think (but not hope) the model 3SR will have a base price of $35K for only around 3 months or so and then the price will increase to around $39K to reflect the value of the increased 250 range. I believe (hope) there will be some price elasticity there.

Now before I am accused of having insider information, I don't. I'm just going on trends I have seen by following Tesla closely for several years now. In many ways, Elon is like an open book and frequently easy to predict.

I don't know of any other manufacturer than includes destination charge in their advertised price, GM/Bolt certainly doesn't.

Sales/Use taxes vary State to State from 0% to ~10%, so yes it depends on where you live. And you also need to figure in additional State and utility company BEV rebates, which again vary State to State. So it is difficult to generalize without talking about a particular locality.

So - if you want to save between 2 to $3,000? Simply move to Alaska,Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, or Oregon.

Interesting little fact. GM had started including delivery charges in promotional materials, but had switched back to not doing so like everybody else before the arrival of the Bolt.

Ah, but @hill there is no free lunch, those States with no sales/use taxes make up for it in higher rates for property tax and personal income tax.

BBB is a joke. As a merchant I was BBB accredited. The problem is BBB doesn't even verify if complaints are from real people.

Both Tesla and Toyota are not BBB accredited because they chose not to be. Where are you getting your information?

This link to the BBB toyota accreditation page seems to disagree with this LIE....

    Tesla is becoming a religion.
Wikipedia just changed the phrase "Ponzi Scheme" to "Another Tesla"
I jest, but Elon after his shenanigans with PayPal isn't my idea of Honorable or trustworthy.

I presume this number represents the $3500 ($1000 reservation deposit + $2500 confirmation deposit) a customer put down to secure delivery?
